STOKVIS LAUNCHES WALL-MOUNTED CONDENSING BOILERS

Stokvis Energy Systems’ new Econoflame R30 range of wall-mounted condensing boilers is officially launched for the UK market on 15^th June. This compact, lightweight unit for commercial and industrial applications uses the latest technology to give extremely high efficiency, seamless output modulation, and ultra-low NO_x emissions.

The Stokvis Econoflame R30 series has four models with outputs from 45 to 100kW and means Stokvis, with its proven Econoflame modulating concept, now enters the fastest growing sector for small commercial/industrial boilers – wall hung condensing units.

Condensing Boiler Demand Surge

“Stokvis has 20 years of successful experience with modulating high efficiency boilers in the larger size range and we can now make this valuable technology available for the majority of the market with the launch of the R30 range,” says Ivan Thompson, Managing Director of Stokvis Energy Systems.

“The wall-mounted condensing sector is finally taking off in the UK with growth from 7.3% last year to 28% of the total this year (based on 2003/2004 MAT April statistics.) With the R30 we can be part of that surge, help customers reduce their carbon dioxide emissions and meet the challenges of the new Building Regulations.

“Over the years we have won many GEM awards for the Econoflame range, fundamentally because we could guarantee high efficiencies year round with our unique stepless modulation system. The R30 with its state of the art 21^st century sophistication opens this proven energy saving technology up to many more customers.”

High Efficiency and Low NO_x

The Econoflame R30 boilers are competitively priced and use stainless steel heat exchangers with a pre-mix, ultra-low NO_x burner (<26mg/kWh, 15ppm). This minimises CO, CO₂ and NO_x emissions as well as ensuring maximum efficiency (>109.5%) and full modulation (13-100%) down to one eighth of the load.

The quality of the performance of this boiler ensures that it surpasses the most stringent of requirements throughout the whole of Europe.

Although, really a small commercial/industrial boiler the Stokvis R30 range is listed in DEFRA’s SEDBUK (seasonal efficiency for domestic boilers UK) database (see www.sedbuk.com) as an ‘A’ rated boiler with an excellent seasonal efficiencies of just over 90%. The R30 series is also ECA listed by the carbon trust (see www.eca.gov.uk) all eligible for extended capital allowances and interest free loans (where applicable).

A pump is incorporated within the boiler casing, for models up to 85kW output, or supplied with the boiler. The R30 and pump combination is designed for whisper quiet operation with noise levels of less than 48dB(A). The Stokvis R30 comes complete with a microprocessor control; optional extras are available which offer cascading control for sequencing modular installations, weather compensation, and hot water priority. For customers requiring instantaneous hot water Stokvis Energy Systems have in their product portfolio plate heat exchangers to give the Econoflame R30 the capability of a ‘Combi’ boiler.
